rage is the passion

A passion is something you long for in life, something you chase, and hopefully, something you find. Everyone has something personal to them and there are a lot of possibilities out there for everyone with a pretty wide range. There's a good amount that strikes my interest, but you might not be able to guess them. If you asked me about my passions a few years ago I probably would have just said fashion and mental health. But, things are a little different now. I've done a lot of growing up since then and there is a lot more to look for. As I get closer to "adulting" the more I understand that "life happens" which is what adults have told me, and I think they really mean that shit happens and you deal with it. But after a lot of self-reflecting, therapy, and all the other bullshit that you can think of, I really found out that the cliche saying, "find the good in things" is true and helps a lot more than I will admit. After forcing myself to even say that the sky is blue and I like that color and a lot of other boring, but neutral statements, I realized that there is a lot that you can see in the world. Again this is cliche, but seeing the good started getting easier and coming more naturally. Now when I step outside I make sure to look at what shapes I can see in the clouds, the sunset colors, or what phase the moon will be in. Even when it's raining out I will go stomp around in a puddle and dance in the rain (I was absolutely soaked). It's a little cliche and odd I'll admit, but it's the small things that you don't always think of that actually help. These small little things turned out to be big things, and the big things turned into passions. While these might not seem like typical passions such as "helping the homeless" or "becoming a doctor" when I'm making sure I watch the sunset it makes me happier and I have more fun when I'm getting poured on in the rain while jumping around that gives me genuine joy. In my opinion, passions should be the things that give you joy, no matter how big or small. So find a passion, stick to it, and rage with it, that's my piece of advice. k...now rage p.s: shoutout to my forever friend mari for helping me with this idea (she gets credit for the name)
